- Meet & greet
- Instructors (discuss daily schedule & programs, swimmer issues, offer poolside assistance...)
- Parents (greet, feedback, queries)
- Swimmers (greet, assist...)
- Visitors (grandparents, carers etc)
- Answer queries & provide information (program, holiday program, following term, spank….)
- Offer feedback
- Emergency procedures & first aid
- Promote swimming lessons throughout the community
- Cover for instructors
- Sale swim gear
Facility Maintenance:
- Safe & Risk free environment
- Keeping pool & change room area cleaned
- Water testing
- Emergency procedures
- Fire, earthquake, gas leak
- Faecal & other accidents (Vacuuming pool and backwashing filters)
- Opening /closing procedures
Administration:
- Daily control & report
- Pool set up & packing away
- Bookings (Term & Holiday Programs)
- Swimmer attendance
- Enrolment forms
- Payments
- Planning & organising workload
- Assessing swimmers (issuing posters and stickers and keeping records of individual progressions)
- Assessing instructors
- Providing feedback to managers, parents, instructors, swimmers
- Promoting & moving swimmers
- Swim gear stock control
- Document any repairs to be done
Skills and abilities:
- Team leadership & management
- Effective verbal & written communication ( child, parent, teacher, manager)
- Punctual, reliable & able to think on your feet
- Good knowledge of swim teaching, basic knowledge of lifeguard, emergency procedures and swimming pool administration
- Computer skills
